The first step to using Water SmartR (WSR), is to purchase any brand of a 'Hose End Sprayer' (HES).

 

You need to add 1.5 ounces (3 tablespoons) of WSR for every 1,000 square feet of landscape to the bottle of the HES. 

 

Fill up the rest of the bottle with water after adding WSR and place the cap back on to the bottle.

 

Select a setting on the top of the HES that will allow you to cover the entire landscape area before running out.

 

Begin applying solution.

 

When you are about a 1/4 of the way across your landscape area, check to make sure that you have only used 1/4 of the WSR solution left.  This ensures that you are getting an even application across your targeted area. 

 

When the application is complete, turn your irrigation system to run a normal cycle. After the full irrigation is applied, reduce your station runtimes by 25 percent on your irrigation clock.

 

Enjoy the benefits of WaterSmartR!  Your irrigation will be reduced by 25%, while your landscape remains looking the same.
